TOMRA Sorting demonstrates sustainability in action at CHINAPLAS 2015

At CHINAPLAS 2015, market-leading automated waste sorting specialist TOMRA Sorting Recycling will highlight the latest-generation AUTOSORT 4 system.

15 Mai 2015

TOMRA Sorting Recycling, pioneer in automated sensor-based waste sorting solutions, will participate in CHINAPLAS 2015, the 29th International Exhibition of the Plastics and Rubber Industries, from 20–23 May in the China Import & Export Fair Complex, Pazhou, Guangzhou, China. The company will put the spotlight on its advanced plastics sorting capability, including the sorting of WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) plastics, PET flakes and plastic packaging.

Recycling of waste plastics is beneficial both for the environment and the economy
"China has adopted sustainable development as a basic economic and environmental policy, and that includes the recycling of waste plastics. Despite slower economic growth, recently, China's Ministry of Environmental Protection has in fact expanded the quota of imported waste plastics, and the recycling of waste plastics is seen as beneficial both to the environment and the economy," noted Jacob Rognhaug, Country Manager, China, TOMRA Sorting Solutions. "Now that a number of AUTOSORT 4 machines are in operation in China, feedback from customers has been very positive. Clearly, the benefits and improvements offered by this system are highly valued, and our customers in China are realizing a return on their investment."

Unmateched experience in automated waste sorting
Drawing on state-of-the-art technology and unmatched experience in automated waste sorting, both worldwide and in China, TOMRA Sorting Recycling will showcase the ultra-efficient dry sorting of Electronic Scrap, plastic film and packaging, and all quality levels of PET, at CHINAPLAS 2015 and reaffirm the company's commitment to its China customers.

TOMRA Sorting Recycling will also be taking the opportunity, prior to the CHINAPLAS show, to speak at ChinaReplas (Spring). This event will take place on May 18 at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center, when Kelly Xie, Sales Manager, TOMRA Sorting Recycling, will give a presentation, on the topic, "Automated sorting technology for plastics." The presentation is scheduled for 2:15pm.
